NWR is the best organisation for women that nobody seems to have heard of! Our meetings are the perfect opportunity to make more local friends.
A new group has started up in Wokingham over the summer of 2024. Our meetings always include a light-hearted discussion topic, which acts as an ice-breaker and we generally find our discussions go off in all sorts of wonderful directions. There is no obligation to contribute to the discussion. We are a supportive and friendly group and understand some people might not fancy that initially.
Our meetings take place in local pubs and cafes and some of the discussion topics for our meetings so far have been:
Did you have pocket money as a child? What did you spend it on?
What was your first job?
What is the oldest book you own? What is your favourite book or favourite author?
The Seven Deadly Sins: in a secular society, is the concept of sin still relevant? Should the traditional list of seven sins be updated for our modern world?
If you could choose one object from any museum or art gallery to have in your home for one month, what would it be?
What does the word “Home” mean to you?
If money was no object, where would you travel to and why?
and our last meeting before the year end is:
Fri 6th December 2.00pm: My favourite outfit (it could be one of your own, or one worn by someone famous today or in the past)
