NWR is the best organisation for women that nobody seems to have heard of! Come and join us! Our meetings are the perfect opportunity to make more local friends.
Our new group started in Wokingham over the summer of 2024. Our meetings always include a discussion topic, mostly light-hearted but with the occasional more serious one. We frequently find we go “off-topic” and end up discussing all sorts of things.
Our meetings take place in local pubs and cafes and our forthcoming dates and topics for January and February are:
Wednesday evenings:
29 January – Driverless technology – what do you think about it?
19 February – If you could return to live in any era, which would you choose, and why?
Friday afternoons:
7 February – Are there things that have gone that should be brought back? On the other hand, what would you banish from the present day?
28 February – If you were a Disney character, which one would you be?
Our first two meetings of the year were enjoyed by everyone:
We each chose three dinner guests (from history or today) and our choice included Michelle Obama, Aristotle, Jess Phillips MP, Sir David Attenborough, Tom Hanks, Victoria Wood and many others.
At our second meeting we asked “What talent or skill do you wish you possessed?” Our desired skills included craft work of various kinds, music, writing lyrics, creative hairdressing and the ability to glide over the ice like Torvill and Dean!
We welcome new members and would love to meet you, so please get in touch using the contact button above for more information and to arrange a free trial session.
In addition to local group meetings, NWR membership gives you access to a whole range of national events including online meetings, talks, exercise classes, virtual book clubs and Facebook groups. An annual highlight is the “Telephone Treasure Trail” held in November.
