NWR meetings are the perfect opportunity to make more local friends.
A new group has started up in Wokingham over the summer of 2024!
Our meetings always include a light-hearted discussion topic, which acts as an ice-breaker and we generally find our discussions go off in all sorts of wonderful directions! There is no obligation to contribute to the discussion. We are a supportive and friendly group and understand some people might not fancy that initially.
Our meetings take place in local pubs and cafes and will take place as follows:
Fri 6 September 2.30pm: What is the oldest book you own? What is your favourite book or favourite author?
Thu 19th September 6.30pm: The Seven Deadly Sins: in a secular society, is the concept of sin still relevant? Should the traditional list of seven sins be updated for our modern world?
Mon 14th October 6.30pm: If you could choose one object from any museum or art gallery to have in your home for one month, what would it be?
Fri 25th October 2.30pm: What does the word “Home” mean to you?
Wed 20th November 6.30pm: If money was no object, where would you travel to and why?
Fri 6th December 2.30pm: My favourite outfit. It could be one of your own, or one worn by someone famous today or in the past.
