Three ladies from the Dorking Group did their monthly walk for May to coincide with the NWR theme Walking For Women. We chose to walk first around the beautiful Savill Gardens which are part of the Windsor estate. The multitudes of rhododendrons and azaleas were out in full bloom and quite spectacular. The gardens are immaculately curated and with bird song trilling everywhere, it was very special. After the necessary lunch we then walked an extra 2.5 miles to Virginia Water where we encountered an ice cream van. To round off our day, we found more rhododendrons to amaze us on the way back to the car park.
