Three of us and my husband set out for our walk along the River Kennet from Reading railway station Its actually a circular walk taken from the book “Exploring the Elizabeth Line by Jeff Lock but this time we only did half of the walk finishing at Southcote rather than walking along the Holy Brook back to the town centre. When we reached Southcote we caught a bus back to the station. It was a Friday morning so not too many people on the tow path and what with the nice weather it was very enjoyable.
After the walk we met up with other members of our group plus a couple more husbands in “The Pantry” a cafe in Reading Town Hall for lunch.
