We meet twice monthly, on the second and fourth Wednesdays, in one of the comfortable rooms in our village hall complex. We particularly welcome new members and are always happy for potential members to come to a few meetings before they commit themselves.
Although relatively small, we are a happy group of retirees and our meetings range over a wide variety of topics, from current affairs to history, and are either led by a member who has researched the subject or are open for everyone to contribute. In either case this usually leads to lively discussion. We also have meetings based on music, poetry, literature or leisure activities.
Our book group meets monthly in the afternoon on a day convenient to the group and those who wish gather for lunch once a month too. So we have something on the programme every week.
Needless to say there are also social events, usually involving food and drink and often quizzes.
