We are a small friendly group with about 12 members and we meet fortnightly on alternate Wednesday afternoons at 2.30 pm. We normally meet in a member’s home unless the programme shows a different time or location.
We have a programme planning meeting twice a year when members suggest and agree on a wide variety of topics, and activities for our meetings over the coming six months. As well as some fairly serious discussion topics we try to include some fun activities such as a games or craft afternoon or a light hearted session of Room 101.
Whilst most of our regular meetings are held in members houses we also plan in visits to gardens, museums and galleries and a favourite summer outing is a visit to a property that opens for Invitation to View. We also enjoy meeting informally for lunch of coffee at a local cafe or garden centre. We always include the NWR theme and country in our programme.
We have a small book group consisting of around five or six members and this meets roughly every six weeks to discuss a chosen book.
