Our group is fun and informal, we enjoy having a really good laugh together.
We meet monthly on Fridays at 6.30pm in our homes (there is no obligation to host if you’d prefer not to) and it’s never a set Friday, it jumps about a bit, avoiding school holidays whenever possible. In the winter months when the evenings are colder and darker, there is also the option to join our meetings via Zoom on Wednesdays for those who prefer it.
Our ages range 55 to 85 and we are a real mixture – full time workers, part time workers, retired, single, divorced, married and widowed, some without children, one a great grandmother.
We have a subgroup now – “ladies lunching”, and we go out once a month or so for lunches in new places, on Mondays or Fridays. We also go to the cinema or theatre.
Over the summer we take the opportunity to go on outings instead of having discussion meetings.
