We are a friendly group of 18 paid up members, regularly attracting 10 to 13 members to each meeting. We meet in each others’ homes, on a fortnightly basis, on a Wednesday evening (except during January, February and March when we meet on a Wednesday afternoon). During Lockdown we continued to meet via Zoom and usually had about 8 people joining in each time, but as of September 2021 we were back to face to face meetings.
Our meetings cover a range of topics – some are light-hearted, some are more serious and some require members to do a little research. We also have an occasional speaker.
In addition to the meetings we have a range of social events. Each month we have either a lunch or a coffee morning organised by one of the members at a local venue. About 3 or 4 times a year we have a social event to which partners or friends are invited – these can be games evenings, BBQs, garden parties, treasure hunts or a walk with a pub lunch.
