Based in South Oxfordshire between Reading and Henley, ours is a longstanding group of around 20 members, founded in 1976 and regularly adding new members to the fold. We meet every two weeks and our meetings are always well attended. Meeting formats include debates and discussions, presentations by members or guest speakers, cultural and garden outings in the summer. We also love themed food and drink gatherings, quizzes, local walks and hold an annual pub walk.
Spin offs include a well attended Craft Group, and a Book Group, which meet every 4-6 weeks.
We discuss, agree and publish programmes for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter every year and try to make them as varied as possible, to include current themes or events and cover our members’ very varied interests.
New members are always made very welcome.
