We meet every fortnight + one day (Monday – Thursday) to enjoy a varied programme in good company. During the height of Lockdown, after some initial hiccoughs we conquered zoom and successfully continued meetings until this summer when we were all pleased to meet up, duly double vaccinated, once again. Next spring we will be celebrating 20 years as a group and are planning to mark the occasion with high tea, with champagne of course, at The Grand Hotel in nearby Eastbourne.
At our last meeting we planned a full programme for 2022 with a good mix of topics, both fun and serious. We have included three speakers and we will make good use of zoom during the darker winter months. We find this annual programme works well for our group and we only rarely need to make the odd change of date or host.
At our next meeting we will be welcoming the return of ornithologist Phil Jones to talk about the many and varied birds that he comes across in his extensive travels.
