Cheltenham and Charlton Kings branch have had a busy few days in June. Over the course of 11 days we have had 4 very different events:
A very interesting guided tour of and talk about the library in Gloucester Cathedral where we were able to see a few old contracts written on velum and some medieval books. Sadly most of the books from the original Abbey library were removed at the dissolution of the monasteries.

A Caribbean evening where we had a wonderful spread of food and drink appropriate for the topic; members were invited to research an island and give a short talk with one member, who had stayed with family in Grand Cayman, sharing some first hand experiences of the island.
A local walk followed by lunch on a beautiful morning.
Tea and a chat in a local cafe
