Deck the halls with Christmas Tree Festivals (and NWR members have been active)

Christmas Tree festvals have been popping up across the country, and the office has heard from many NWR groups who have decorated a tree for their local festival. Thank you to Ottery St Mary NWR group for sending us this beautiful photo of your tree in the church setting. Sue Gotley of the Amersham North NWR group writes that “Every year a Christmas Tree Festival is held in Amersham to raise funds for local charities. This year’s charity is the Wycombe Homeless Connection, which supports people sleeping rough. Trees from many different organisations in the town are represented but this is the first year the Amersham North NWR group submitted a tree.”

“It was a lot of fun making decorations for the tree,” Sue tells us, “five of us met for a craft afternoon and using pink and blue card with lots of glue and glitter, we managed to make some baubles each bearing the NWR logo. One member made a couple of banners which will come in handy for future events. The tree is now decorated and has taken its place in St Michael’s Church and we have our fingers crossed that there may be some enquiries and possibly new members.”

Below are the trees from the Amersham North NWR Group and Arbroath NWR group.
