Jenny started the meeting by lighting an indoor ‘fountain style’ firework as we learned about the Evolution of fireworks, Handel’s music for the Royal Fireworks, the manufacturing of fireworks including names such as Pains, Standard and Brocks bringing back memories for all of us, the law surrounding fireworks, the origins of the Catherine Wheel, Diwali, Guy Fawkes and the environmental impact of fireworks
