This week saw our Bury St Edmunds members gathered together to celebrate Christmas 2024.
Whilst the weather may not be exactly ‘Christmassy’, the 15 of us made sure the evening went with a festive swing, including all manner of tasty dishes, dips and delicacies.
A jolly Christmas Picture Bingo was slightly hampered by mature eyes peering through varifocals at small print and overlooking the odd square when called out, and to be honest we’re still not quite sure who managed to shout out ‘House’ first! The ‘lively-women-appropriate’ prizes were appreciated: a set of small bottles (for travelling), bookmark (for reading), and popping candy chocolate balls (for… well, need I explain?) which were kindly shared around by the winner. That was our ‘fizz’ for the evening 😉
Someone brought some entertaining napkins with puzzles on them, which sorely taxed our logic, and the evening was rounded off by a fun general knowledge quiz.
