Thame NWR outing to Hughenden Manor

Six members today (5th August 2022) visited Hughenden Manor as our summer outing.
We did what NWR members do best: we talked, ate cake and drank coffee, wandered around the splendid gardens and most importantly learned more about the house and particularly what went on there during the 2nd World War.
There is a newish exhibition in the house which is well put together and introduced us to several people who worked there under top-secrecy as they were making maps, mainly of German areas, for use by our Airmen.
it is National Trust and if you have not been there for a while, well worth revisiting.

We talked about a group photo more than once – but then forgot! But I did remember to take some photos in the grounds.
