Our February 2024 our discussion topic was ‘Grey’ and what a range of topics this produced!
We considered the various pigments in our hair and why they disappear as we age, the Little Grey Rabbit by Alison Uttley, a poem on grey and why we must treasure the unremarkable, a colour chart from 1821 with the names and attributes of the various colours.
We also discussed the significance of those born without colour perception into a world of shades of grey, tarmac and where would we be without it (as well as the odd comment about potholes!) and the grey matter in our heads; what wonders our brains are!
