Some of the Kilbarchan Group recently visited two local exhibitions at The Art Department (a temporary pop up location in a former Co-op Superstore) in nearby Paisley. The Teardrop Explodes celebrated the history of the world famous Paisley Pattern and had some beautifully hand crafted garments and patchwork quilts on display including this waistcoat.

They also visited the Paisley Art Exhibition on the upper floor that featured the work of a number of local artists. Here are a couple of examples.

After viewing the exhibitions they visited a coffee shop nearby for freshly made scones (other cakes were also consumed) and hot drinks all round.
