Last week four of the Earley Group got the train into Waterloo then walked across the Golden Jubilee Bridge to the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square.
There we saw a really nice exhibition called Radical Harmony which was a collection by Helene Kroller-Muller of Neo Impressionists, which included mainly Pointillist paintings by artists including Seurat, Signac and Pissaro but also included a couple by Van Gogh and some lesser known artists in this country like Jan Toorop and Theo van Rysselberghe. We really enjoyed the exhibition followed by lunch in the Crypt at St Martins in the Field.
Afterwards we had a wander through the Gardens on the Victoria Embankment then returned to Waterloo where we were lucky to jump on a train which was just about to leave. A very enjoyable day.
