On Saturday March 9th the International Women’s Day Fenland Festival was held in St Peter’s Church Hall, Wisbech. This was the 3rd year this festival was celebrated in the town and Wisbech NWR members were at its heart, with a pre-loved bookstall, sharing our book group favourites. It was great to meet NWR members from nearby groups Deepings and Downham Market there!
The event lived up to its aim of ‘making things better for ourselves, other women and the community’. An excellent day with a wide range of interesting stalls, displays and the Nine Lives Theatre Company Show – the talents of women in the Fens were celebrated in style.
