We are a thriving, though modest-sized, group aged in our 60s to 80s who meet on alternate Tuesdays on a weekday evening, but may be moving to meeting in the daytime soon. Our meetings are varied with a mixture of thought provoking and fun topics – sometimes we’ll have a topic to discuss, for others we’ll have something to research.
We participate in NWR national events (though never win the quizzes!), we enjoy food and social evenings, as well as more serious talks and discussions.
We go to the local theatres in Westcliff and Southend and use the local coach company for day trips. Our walks are varied. We sometimes do urban walks such as the Leigh on Sea Art Trail or mystery walks around Southend and Rayleigh and go into London for walks such as ‘The Line’ an art walk starting in Stratford.
