We are a group of 16 members who live mostly in the riverside villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers and also nearby Yealmpton, but you’re welcome to join us wherever you live!
We meet monthly, mostly in each others homes for discussions, both serious and light-hearted, with an occasional cinema/theatre visit thrown in. Recent speakers include Afghanistan field hospitals and Samaritans. We also have a book club that meets monthly.
The time and day we met varies to accommodate those with other commitments.
In 2024 we will be discussing the following:
January – Discussion of a film or TV programme
February – Discussion/talk on Herbs, Drugs and Medicines plus a visit to see snowdrops.
March – The British Constitution: what is it?, How does it work? Does it work? How could it be improved? etc
April – The Caribbean
May – An evening of music
Visit to The Tamar Bridge
July – Summer Garden Party
