We recently held a very successful Burns Supper with 11 of our members attending. Our hosts and speakers were all Scots born, so we were in good hands! Home made scotch broth was followed by the piping in of the haggis, the address to the haggis and some lively toasts and speeches. We even had a really good sing-song with some of Burns’ songs and poems and some cheeky songs provided by our host, including “I love a Co-op sausage – you can tell a co-opy sausage by the smell”…to the tune of ‘I love a lassie’.
