This morning, a group of Wokingham 1 NWR had coffee in a local garden centre, then visited the horse sculptures, in place for a few years, to commemorate the horses that used to be kept and treated at Arborfield stables as part of the garrison. Icarus has 1918 engraved on his hoof as a reminder. Together with the Sports Horse Mare and the Youngster, they are very striking. The stable building is nearby, and is apparently of historic importance, but not open for visiting.
