Two NWR groups in the Midlands got together recently for a fun-filled evening of Brazilian drumming.
Under the instruction of the lovely Mika, we used words and chants to learn rhythmic patterns which we then beat out on bass, tenor and snare drums. After a swift hour’s tuition and practice, we were just about able to hold several rhythms in our heads – long enough to produce this short video.
Our thanks go to Mika for her tremendous enthusiasm and patience and to anyone else within earshot for their tolerance! We all ended the evening on a high. Who could ask for anything more?
