NWR sets out its stall
It was Fenland’s first festival to celebrate International Women’s Day and Wisbech NWR’s stall at the event – featuring great reads written by women celebrating the rise of women and how far there still is to go – created a lot of interest.
The NWR office supplied promotional materials along with NWR bookmarks and magazines – and the promotion guide on the website gave us the idea of a book exchange. We handed out free books with the bookmarks in as people chose them.
Organisers are planning to turn the festival into an annual event. We’ll be there next year!
